When a student applies a Post and they’re looking for scholarship information and/or help, that once they speak with admissions, admissions will put them in touch with financial aid. Our financial aid department will walk them through the process on how to apply for scholarships and what they are currently eligible for.
So institutional scholarships at Post University, we have a merit-based system. So students come in and, based on their GPA, they get an academic merit scholarship that is applied to their tuition and that will stay with them throughout their career at Post University. If the student is an athlete, there’s also athletic scholarships available to certain students that apply for them.
Post University is a proud partner with the City of Waterbury on the Waterbury Promise Scholarship. And what that entitles is a student that has gone to a high school in Waterbury that comes to Post, after they apply and get all of their financial aid, student loans, and any institutional funds that Post is giving them, Post then gives them a Promise scholarship on top of that, which then the City of Waterbury also matches and does. So that it helps defray the cost to keep some of our city students in school and allows them the opportunity to go to school here at Post.
Post University also has a Baldridge [business] scholarship which is offered to two scholars that apply and have a 3.5 or higher GPA, and that is a full tuition scholarship for four years.
Post University likes to make it personal for our students. One of the ways we do that is by offering institutional scholarships and other financial help along with all of the support services that we provide for our students.
Many of the scholarships that Post offers are game changers for our students. Without them, they may not have the opportunity to go to school, and which is, that is why we’re interested in doing what we can to help city residents and our students in general to be able to achieve their educational goals.
