Our team in the center would focus more on any like study skills, time management, help with assignments. We can review papers, things like APA formatting, even just soft skills and time management. Our space is really a quiet space meant to help students get the academic support that they need, even if that’s just studying. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a tutoring session.
Professors have office hours, too, where they can meet with students one-on-one.
If there’s ever a subject and we don’t have a tutor for it, we have that third party TutorMe, that’s 24/7. And if that doesn’t work for a student, we will always explore every option that we can to make sure they get the help. It’s either going to be provided by staff in our center or online on our 24/7 extension.
