I had been in online courses getting my BSN and my MSN, and never did I have the support that I gained like I had at Post University.
Hi, my name is Amy Patton, and I graduated from Post University with my Doctor of Nursing Practice.
When you think about the amount of work that is necessary for a master’s or doctoral program, and I thought, how am I going to balance this? So when I began the program, I was a little concerned about where and how am I going to find my groove.
Every step of the way, I learned something and I’m master’s prepared, I’ve been teaching for years. And I was so excited. There was no busy work. It was all very purposeful, and I appreciated that.
I’m still a nurse, but my life has changed around nursing. You don’t have to be a hospice nurse. You don’t have to be an oncology nurse. You don’t have to deliver babies. You can be anything you want to be, and I think that’s what’s beautiful about nursing.
Spotlights
